A. We only supply our 15cm and 20cm cables in full 24 Pack sizes. This enables you to have fast and simple 24 port patching, with no awkward cable ties or individual bags. Each pack is clearly labelled for easy storage and re-ordering.
A. This really depends on your desired setup. Our 1U and 2U Patching is designed to eliminate the need for horizontal cable management bars, enabling switches and patch panels to be mounted directly above and below each other and a simple short patch between. You can also use the natural ‘loop’ in the row of cables to run the odd longer length fibre or copper patch cable to a different location.
A. We are setup to deliver next day across the UK. However, we can also arrange Royal Mail or DPD delivery (depending on the consignment weight) across Europe as an economy or express option. Please email us for delivery options available or select the correct delivery option at Checkout.
A. Yes, please call or email us so that we can discuss your specific requirement in more detail. We can often supply an additional reseller discount and setup a Trade account for you.
A. Due to the way these cables are manufactured and terminated there can be a 30mm +/- variance in length. As a rule the 15cm 1U option when measured tip to tip is close to 17.5cm and the 20cm 2U tip to tip is 22.5cm. So when we refer to the 15cm or 20cm, this is calculated as the length of the useable cable including the strain relief element of the boot. If in doubt please request a free sample before purchasing.
A. Yes, very often a mixture of 15cm and 20cm cables are used in many installations. The 1U 15cm cables are ideal when you have close switch and panel port proximity – so effectively straight up or down in a 1U space, often found when matching 48 Port Panel to the corresponding switch ports. When the ports are not always aligned – often the case with 24 Port switches then the 2U cables are a better option. It is always worth requesting a sample to check the bend radius of the cable.
A. All of our short length Cat5e, Cat6 and Cat6a patching is the High Grade, 24AWG grade so ideal for Power over Ethernet installations.
A. These short 15cm and 20cm cables have a Flush Moulded Boot, so no cover over the latch. We have found that these are the most popular for short length high density patching environments as this means no 'boot' obstructions in high density installations.
